CROOKED TIMBER ("Out of the crooked timber of humanity, no straight thing was ever made."—Immanuel Kant) is a musical project of Scott Ryan and Rob Maloni (right, Scott in front). They released their first CD, I Don't Mind If It Rains A Little, in 2006 and they are currently working on their second, Fadograph of a Yestern Scene. Scott is also working on an album of songs based on poems written by his late grandfather Harold Pickett, who wrote light verse under the nom de plume Slim Acres; it too will be released as a Crooked Timber project.
Combined credits for all their CDs:
Scott Ryan: lead vocals, lead and rhythm acoustic guitars, slide guitar, banjo, banjitar, mandolin, octave mandolin, harmonica, lap steel guitar, fretless bass, fretful bass, percussion.
Rob Maloni: vocals, lead and rhythm acoustic and electric guitars, bass, percussion.
